The Wisdom of Coffee is a place to find hang out with other members in a relaxed and informal atmosphere—perhaps with a drink and a snack—to engage in conversation about topics of the day, and to attend events, both online and IRL. It’s a place to meet people, network, learn, relax, and be nice to each other.
Whatever your level of experience or knowledge, wherever you are in the world, join us virtually for a regular cuppa brewed in your own kitchen to share stories, pitch projects, pick up tips and learn the ropes of successful strategy, so you can reach financial, marketing and networking goals for your business or projects. We don't meet on UK Bank Holidays.
True to our roots as a social Meetup group for people to meet in real life, we host ad hoc events for WoC members to hang out socially in person. Any members living in close proximity to each other can arrange independent events in real life. Let WoC know in you would like to host an in-person event and we shall publicise it for you around our network of members, friends and associates.
The WoC movement exists on several community platforms. WoC was launched as an independent Meetup group and maintains a thriving presence on the Meetup.com platform. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, WoC joined forces with 12Ronnies to launch a mirror community at Founders and Mentors, catering specifically to the large subsection of members who are pre-launch founders, inventors and creatives
As well as facilitating chat in the Founders and Mentors community, WoC also hosts a dedicated WhatsApp group for members to join to share private news, information and conversation. In order to reduce spam, there is a short, simple application form to complete for signing up to the WoC WhatsApp group.
WoC hosts weekly 30-minute live-streamed podcasts that comprise informal fireside chat-style conversations with expert guests with perspectives, ideas and/or resources that are aligned with the interests of WoC members: educational, informative and entertaining—as well as adding value to audience members regarding their personal and professional lives.
WoC podcasts are live-streamed on multiple channels, simultaneously: LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube. Straight after each live show, a video recording of the episode is automatically available to view. Short video clips of WoC postcasts are also hosted at the 12Ronnies YouTube channel, along with other playlists in the 12Ronnies family of podcast strands.
WoC hosts bi-weekly 60-minute Office Hours-style Meetups—on Mondays (10:30-11:30 hrs) and/or Thursdays (16:30-17:30 hrs) UK local time—to suit every Time Zone
WoC is a community at Founders and Mentors that shares daily news and information, engages in dialogues, hosts events, and runs courses
WoC hosts a WhatsApp group for members to stay in the loop with real-time updates, quick introductions, and daily networking interactions with fellow members
You can apply to be a guest expert on the weekly WoC podcast as well as engage with live shows in real time. Video replays of podcast episodes are uploaded straight after each live episod
We welcome members from all over the world—of any age, background, ethnicity, belief, gender identity, physical or mental ability, or social class—who have different insights and knowledge based on a range of cultural experiences. The common denominator is that members enjoy wide-ranging, intellectually stimulating conversation about ideas, business, creativity and impact in the world. After attending a WoC event, members feel energised, excited and ready to apply their new-found insights into their personals and professional lives.
WoC exists as a community in three intertwined spaces: Meetup.com; Founders and Mentors (12Ronnies); and WhatsApp. When you attend an event of any kind, links are made available for you to join WoC on any or all of these communities.
There is no fee for joining WoC on any of the platforms that hosts the community. In the future, this will remain the case, apart from the occasional meeting or event that costs money to arrange (any future ticket prices will always be affordable).
WoC members benefit from being part of a community of like-minded people interested in ideas, business, creativity and the world in general. Members receive direct feedback in real time that can transform the ways in which they run their businesses, use their creativity and see how they can make an impact in the world. Members also have the chance to share their ideas, perspectives, products and services as guests on the WoC podcast, as long as they share insights that are aligned with the ethos and interests of the WoC membership
